  • Duration: Candidates are given 4 hours to complete the exam.

Requirements:
To qualify for the CGEIT certification, candidates must meet specific experience and ethical standards:

  • At least one (1) year of experience in establishing or managing an IT governance framework.
  • Experience in at least two (2) of the CGEIT domains is required.
  • Candidates must also adhere to ISACA’s Code of Professional Ethics and submit their application for certification within five (5) years after passing the exam.

Maintenance:
Maintaining the CGEIT certification requires continuous professional development to ensure knowledge remains current:

  • Holders must earn a minimum of 120 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits over a three-year period, with at least 20 CPEs per year.
  • Payment of annual maintenance fees to ISACA is required.
  • Certified professionals must also comply with ISACA’s Continuing Education Policy and uphold the Code of Professional Ethics.
